Dr. Donald S. Marks ("DSMMDPC") has maintained a private General Neurology practice, based in Plymouth, MA, since 1985. He is a member of the medical staffs at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital (BIDH) - Plymouth and Nantucket Cottage Hospital. He serves as Chief of the Division of Neurology at the BIDH-Plymouth and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology (Tufts Medical School).
For over 25 years, Dr. Marks has focused on the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, maintaining leading edge knowledge about Alzheimer's and related disorders, Parkinson's and Multiple Sclerosis. Neurology is itself a large field (although a specialty within Internal Medicine) with many areas of sub-specialization. As a community Neurologist, he also sees patients with a full variety of neurological disorders.
DSMMDPC is a recognized and respected center participating in high profile FDA-approved drug treatment clinical trials seeking new agents to alter the trajectory of Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases. This practice is dedicated to the ongoing clinical management of symptoms for patients with Alzheimer's disease and (... just as important) their families. To more meaningfully treat this disease, we have a introduced a robust program of disease modification clinical trials, specifically tailored to serve our local/regional community.
