Dr. Donald S. Marks, M.D., Neurologist
Dr. Marks is a member of the medical staff at the Beth Israel Lahey Health Hospital (BILH)- Plymouth and Nantucket Cottage Hospital. He was the founding Medical Director for the Division of Neurology at the BILH-Plymouth. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology at the Tufts School of Medicine. For over 25 years, Dr. Marks has focused on the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, specifically in the areas of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. As a community neurologist, he also sees patients with a variety of other neurological disorders. Since the 1990s, Dr. Marks has been involved in more than 20 Clinical Research trials as a Principal Investigator (PI) with various pharmaceutical and imaging companies, as well as the NIH.
Elizabeth "Lizzy" Karas, PA-C, Physician Assistant
Lizzy completed her Master of Science at Tufts University. As an undergraduate, she studied health policy and management as well as Spanish at Providence College. Prior to her graduate studies, she worked in hospital administration and as a nursing assistant in Boston. During PA school, she completed her outpatient medicine selective in neurology with Rosalind Mandelbaum PA-C and Dr. Marks. Lizzy is a practicing clinician for our practice as well as being a Sub-Investigator (Sub-PI) for ongoing clinical trials.
